Unfortunately, not to my knowledge. We have the same situation with many
serial printers that are still connected through the telephone wiring
via DTCs

If you find another solution, please share it.

Subject: Adding a 2563 printer to Network??
Date: Thursday, March 13, 1997 1:25PM

I have two sites with the 2563 printers with serial interfaces. These
sites
will soon migrate all their serial connections to network connectivity
to
the HP3000 (more than likely with hubs/routers).

The response center told me the 2563 printers can not support a parallel
interface to enable the use of the external jet direct cards. We can
not
replace these printers, we have to make them work in this new networked
environment. It is also undesirable to connect the printer to a PC.
Does anyone know of a workaround?
