I'm new to the 3000 and am trying to configure a DTC 16RX to enable terminal
access. The DTC has been configured using the DTC Manager software loaded on
one of our 9000s. Using a terminal connected to the DTC, I can connect to
every system with the exception of our 3000 (928LX w/ MPE/iX 5.0). The message
"Connection Refused" is the result. The DTC has been configured in NMMGR, and
LDEVs assigned to its ports. The DTC validation runs with no errors, as well.
After the network configuration file is saved and the system restarted, the DTC
does not appear in the list of configured DTCs in the system diagnostics, but
is still present in the NMMGR configuration file. The HP documentation seems
to indicate that the DTC's MAC address and its IP address do not need to be
included in the NMMGR configuration file, since the config info is being
supplied by the 9000. I've tried it both ways without any success. Any
assistance on this (hopefully) simple problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Scott Stewart
