In this context, "JCL" stands for Job Control Language, which on an IBM was
a completely different command language for batch operations as opposed to
'on-line', or TSO. However, on the HP, JCL tends to be used simply as a
short-hand method of refering to a batch job. Given that literally all HP
commands are the same in batch and on-line, there isn't really a different
command language for batch as compared to interactive sessions.
