Okay okay, enough kidding! For those of you who'd like to
give Samba/iX 0.5 a try: you can find it at the usual place
on ftp.3k.com under the POSIX directory.

This version should no longer have the problems with 30 KB
socket calls (if all went well) and respective file sizes.
No special options in the smb.conf file are required as I
enhanced the read/write calls to be careful with large
byte-counts.

Please let me know whether it works or doesn't.

(Notice that the filename mapping is not yet in this version).
