I'm not quite sure what the question entailed about using Telnet. I tried
it and it's painfully slow compared to NS/VT. Why would you want to use it
when NS/VT is so much faster?

However, I also get hangs on NS/VT that can only be cleared by
disconnecting. I get the impression it occurs most frequently on
control-Ys. Anybody know why this happens and what can be done about it?
Since it happens with me on three different HP3000s I figured it was my PC
- maybe not.
