Has anyone one the list had any experience connecting HP256X & HP293X serial
printers to a LAN (Novell, twisted pair) using the External "jet-direct"
type of boxes? I understand the HP boxes don't support serial connections,
but the third-party boxes do (Emulex, etc). Or would it be better to get
the printers with parallel interface? Would that be faster?

I need to connect a remote site to my 3K over a frame relay link and since I
can avoid terminals (PCs w/ termulator), I am hoping to avoid a DTC
altogether.
