After reading pro and con and con and pro and alternatives and so
many illustrations that I'm dizzy, I guess it all boils down to:

You spend your money and you take your chances.

Vote with your money (as someone else said), except if they're the
only vendor offering what you need, or if you're so tied into their
software that they have you by the balustrades, then you're SOL
(sort of out of luck).
