I believe the problem lies with your transfer method. Unfortunately,
Reflection file-transfer knows nothing of the characteristics of this
specific command file, and how to treat the corresonding cr/lf pair.

You can try the following to overcome this problem:

1) edit the file with any PC editor (such as DOS EDIT or even Windows
Notepad) and simply re-save the file.

2) instead of using Reflections file-transfer protocol, use FTP. Presumeably
you have either WRQ or some other FTP client.

This worked for me (albeit quite some time ago - and after lots of trial and
error).

I wish HP would include the appropriate REAL-WORLD instructions for
transfering these files from your PC to the HP3000. I think the existing
assumption is that everybody wanting to do so has an HP9000 workstation
connected to the 'net as well as the HP3K.
