On the subject of tar vs mover vs ryder vs compress/uncompress..........

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a compression method that delivered a
single, executable MPE/iX program, that did the entire explode of the
package - preserving permissions, file types, directories, groups,
accounts - you name it?

Similar, if fact, to zip2exe.exe in the DOS zip world.

Just a thought
