I thought of this too, so I just tried a couple of copies to/from the 3K
from a WIN NT 4.0 SP1 machine and a WIN95 (forgot what patches
are on this one) system and got the same errors.

Michael,

If you have the time --- you may want to use NT with just SP1.  SP2 has
been more of a thorn in people sides than a benefit.  If you can back it
out, give it a try.  (I ditched SP2 as it was more trouble than it was
worth).
