HP System Peripherals Operation is looking for a few good beta test
sites for "page Recovery" functionality for the LP Series Printers and a
new LPQ 1400 LPM Line Impact Dot Matrix Printer with "Power Paper
Stacker".  The page level recovery functionality is currently
available.  The LPQ 1400 LPM (HP 5000 Model C5640A) is scheduled to be
announced on March 1, 1997.

Customers who participate in beta test for LPQ 1400 product will receive
an incremental 5% discount should they decide to purchase the printer.

Customers who meet the following criteria can be a beta test candidate:
 - Currently use Line Impact Printers.
 - HP 3000 or HP 3000 & HP 9000 mixed environment.
 - MPE/iX 5.5
 - Lan environment for printer connection (TCP/IP Network Printing).

The plan is to install the beta test units as follows:
  - 3 units in the U.S.
  - 2 units in Europe/Asia/Australia
