As far as I know, this isn't yet fixed for MPE.  As to your second
question, yes, I am frustrated by this, too.

Does anybody know the status of this for the MPE/iX platform?  I've tried
to search the support database, but haven't found anything.

PS.  When I search the support database with my options set to "MPE/iX"
(I.e, I have NOT selected any HP-UX) options, I still get flooded with hits
for HP-UX systems.  Does anybody else have this problem?
