 I don't know about Southern College --- but I used both the Compaq
 Luggable and before that, the Kaypro, which did indeed run under CP/M.
It
 had a whopping 10M disk as well, 5.25 low density floppy and a 9 inch
 screen (hence, why I have glasses now <g>)

 It was equipped with the Condor RDBMS, Wordstar (the real old version<g>)
 and Lotus 1-2-3.  The basics to get by on.  No modem :-(

 Looking at this laptop of mine (top-o-de-line Gateway2000) versus those
 days on the Kaypro and the Compaq, I think I'll stop complaining about
the
 inconvience at the airport security checkpoints <g>
