One of the Information Specialists here is trying to web-enable our
HP3000. He is starting with some of the basic work I did and now trying
to install Perl. After downloading from Jazz and unpacking the file, he
encounters the following error:
>
>$ perl
>
>**** EXEC FUNCTION FAILED; subsys =517; info = 48
>ABORT: /WWW/WWW/ARPA/perl/perl
>NM SYS a.00a1c314 dbg_abort_trace+$24
>NM UNKN 390.00695c50
>NM UNKN b84.0004bbd8
>[1] + Done (134) perl
> 36045285
>Abort
>perl
>$
Does Perl require the installation of gcc or GNU libraries? Any other
suggestions for the next steps?
