Well, I've been waiting on the RC for over an hour to respond on a down
system (can't imagine why they'd be understaffed *today* ;> ) so I'll post
this here in case any of you die-hards have any quick advice:

I'm updating from MPE 4.0 to 5.5, and at the point where I do the UPDATE
function with the new CSLT, I'm getting this problem:

Restoring system file "AUTOINST.INSTALL.SYS"
ERROR. Open old subsys =   143 Info =  -500
WARNING. Can not open file. Directory entry purged.
Rebuilding directory entry, continue restoring file.
ERROR. Open new subsys =   143 Info =  -500
File name "AUTOINST.INSTALL.SYS"
...
(similar errors on 4 other files...)
...
             ERROR.

This UPDATE did not restore all files from the tape.     (UPDERR 1001)
There were           5 files not restored for other than disk space reasons.

There is more information about the error conditions in previous messages.
Correct the problems and run this UPDATE again.

So, have any of you seen this before?  Any clue how to fix it?  TIA.
