Ah, that last semester would explain how a Linguistics major and English
Seminar student is able to write incorrect grammar such as "me and the
history and English majors..."  It must be acceptable slang/jargon :-).

Don't feel bad; these days I hear that form more often than the correct
one, including from my daughter.  Maybe that's how we define "acceptable".
