I have a lot of Zebra printers. As far as I know, no special cables are
required. We use standard mod-taps. Here is how we set up our
configuration. We use OpenView DTCMGR so our configuration may vary from
yours. The big difference in the config is that Zebra printers use EVEN
parity.

The HP 3000 configuration (as displayed by DTSINFO) is:
                                  H S
                                  E P N
                                  L O L
 PROFILE PRINTER/ L O I TYPE/
NAME TERMINAL WIDTH MODEM O L O TYPE FILE NAME

 WMSZP01 PRINTER 132 NO Y N 18
   CLASSES: WMSZP01

Even if you are not interested in Zebra printers, you might be able to use
this command file (it replaces the old DTSINFO program which used to be in
TELESUP). It looks like:

:help dtsinfo
USER DEFINED COMMAND FILE: DTSINFO.COMMANDS.SYS

FILE NMMGRCMD=DTSINFOI.COMMANDS.SYS
FILE FORMLIST=$STDLIST
RUN NMMGR.PUB.SYS
RESET NMMGRCMD
RESET FORMLIST
:
and the companion file looks like...

:type DTSINFOI.commands
OPENCONF NMCONFIG.PUB.SYS
SUMMARYCONF DTS
ALL
EXIT
EXIT
:

The DTCMGR side configuration looks as follows:
        Line Speed: 9600
        Attached Device: Printer
        Parity: EVEN
        Data Transfer: ASCII
        Enable Port: X (= YES)
Dedicated Printer: X (Could be shared to multiple hp3k's)
