Stan after Greg after Tony:

I agree with Stan and Greg (sorry Tony; the cost-benefit
ratio of biting this bullet is poor..... :-) ).

>However, I'd much prefer to see:  HPYYYY   (e.g., 1996 or 2001)
>rather than something funky like HPLONGYEAR..........

Absolutely.... No more MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET stuff !!
HPYYYY is a much more precise and concise var name.. Plus
if you *really* want to get into trivial pursuit details, also note that:

(1)  The HPYYYY var name is the same length as HPYEAR;
easily replaceable if somehow you want to maintain source text
column alignment or whatever.

(2) HPYYYY sorts right after HPYEAR when doing a
SHOWVAR. HPLONGYEAR is > one screen page away.

>I wouldn't mind seeing an additional HPYYYYMMDD...

Me too, again.... While they are working in this area
anyway; and testing; and going through a release cycle:
Might as well do the whole job and be done with it....
