Be aware that the GCC port requires MPE/iX 5.0 (C.50.00) release
(or 5.5 = C.55.00).
If the subject line contains your current OS release version, then
your system has MPE/XL 2.2 (A.41.0x, A51.07) installed, which is
_really_ outdated. There have been the versions 3.0, 3.1, 4.0 (still
supported), 4.5 and "5.0 Pull" in between.
