Hello Mark,
Yes, when OM-WEB Server is executing a CGI script it is calling the
Streams/iX product... Yes, the problem being seen "could" be a
problem in Streams/iX. A customer placed a call to me yesterday and
I am looking into it now.
I took a quick look at your problem with HPPIPE & Streams/iX as per
SR 5003322792. I could not duplicate this on my 5.0 917LX with the
current beta Streams/iX patch installed. I was able to duplicate
this problem on my 5.0 995/200 unpatched. I installed the current
beta Streams/iX patch STREDG0 and could no-longer duplicate your
problem. My test ran 250 passes at your job stream.
I recommend you contact the Response Center and ask for 5.0 patch
STREDG0 BETA TEST as per SR 4701-339390, have them contact me, I
will work with them to get you the patch.
As far as the OM-WEB Server problem, I would not conclude at this
point in time that it is a Streams/iX problem, it is too early
in my analysis.

: I wonder if this might not really be an underlying Streams/iX problem.
: I believe Streams is the transport between the CGI program and the web
server.
: Streams is also involved for Posix pipes (i.e. "|").
: On my 969KS200, Posix pipes are rather sadly defective. I can experience
