As a sideline to this thread...

I've heard on the AM radio on my way to work (on a talk show) advertisements for the AS400, (a portable AS400, no less.) I've heard this twice over the last two days.

When has ever, any one of us heard a radio ad for the HP3K? Or the HP9K for that matter? Market forces are driven by perception, not reality.

If that is all that a small business customer hears about, that is probably what he will buy. In addition, the small business customer probably does not have access to the same 'market material', medium to large businesses have, as well as a dedicated MIS support staff to assist in these decisions.
