Howdy,
IMHO this thread is getting a bit long in the tooth. Everyone pick
up the phone and call HP regarding SR 4701338830. I call the HPRC
engineer yesterday (Thu 10/31/96 at 3:30 CST). He reports that a
patch for the 3K 5.0 OS has been developed and the Expert Center
is awaiting approval from the LAB as it regards security issues.
That's 'bout all I know. However, if someone could respond under
another thread I have a question. If a person knowingly disrupts
computer services, crashes it floods it or whatever, they can legally
be held reponsible for damages. What is the legal exposure if a
person publishes the exact syntax to cause denial of services from
a computer?
