Bryan,

The best I can do is mention p. A-19 in V.2 of the MPE/iX Shell and
Utilities Reference Manual.  This shows an example of MKNOD to create
the device special file.  Perhaps others can connect the major and
minor device type and the device name with what is in the IO config.
