from one HP to another?
My weekly backup process copies my RoadRunner files from production to test.
We have had disk space
problems for the last two weeks. The job appears to loop forever until it
finally abends. There are
a few files that I transfer. I would like the job to fail on the initiating
HP as soon as a disk
space problem is encountered. [...]41_6Nov199616:30:[log in to unmask]

We've just upgraded to MPE/ix 5.5 and are trying to do some printing
to an HP Laserjet 5M off our network. We've read all the documentation
and it seems pretty simple. When we test it though, all we get out is
the banner page, no data, and lots of errors.

I just tested by setting up a file equation and using fcopy:

        FILE LS;DEV=16
        FCOPY FROM=;TO=*LS

     Errors showing up on console:

        ** NS/3000 NetIPC ERROR IN VT: Job: #S741; PIN: 308: Info: 1
      - Error: 42:

Output spooler, LDEV #16: FLABELINFO reported the following file
system error while accessing NPCONFIG setup file LJGLOBAL.HPENV.SYS.
     Native Mode Spooler message 9034

Output spooler, LDEV #16: File system error: NONEXISTENT PERMANENT
     FILE (FSERR 52)
     Native Mode Spooler message 9619

Intrinsic layer; the operation could not be completed because a
nonexist file was specified. File System message 38

<<there is more, but hope this is enough>>

We've been on the phone with HPRC and they say there may be a bug.
     Anybody else dealing with this?
