I have a demo copy of "KEA" not Kia sitting on my desk right now. It
is actually installed
on my PC as well. I am running Win95 and it installed there o.k. and
connects using the
Microsoft TCP/IP stack. There are plenty of problems with it, especially
dealing with
saving functions keys. We do this anytime our users enter a block mode
application.
I also couldn't figure out how to execute the 'upper' or shift set of
function keys, we
use them extensively. I also couldn't figure out how to set type ahead
on.
The support staff was trying to help, but I seemed to know more about
making THEIR product
work on a HP3000 then they did. They do have a small HP3000 there, but I
had to walk them
through a LISTF command to see if they had a specific file on their
system.
Maybe with time they will get the bugs worked out, and get a little
more knowledge about
the HP3000 as well.
I also installed KEA on my dual boot version of Win3.1, I won't even
go into that because
it really hosed up that environment. The run-time TCP/IP stack was not
very friendly to my
system. I probabaly could have gotten it to work with Reflection NS/VT,
but that wasn't really
an alternative.
Maybe someone out there has had a better experiance, but I can't use it
in my shop.
