I would imagine that others would find this of use as well. It turns out that I was given the wrong URL, if others have been searching for this, the correct location is: [...]45_22Oct199608:49: [log in to unmask] |

FCOPY to $HARD certainly works. Another solution, using a third-party
package you may already have, provides a bit more flexibility.

Robelle's Qedit, while not intended as a "printing engine," includes
several parms on the /LIST command that help here.
For starters, $RECORD is analogous to FCOPY's $HARD.
Then, there's $PCL n, which allows you to specify various layouts (e.g.,
$PCL 4 uses 132 columns per line, 80 lines per page, in *portrait* on 8.5 x
11 paper, or 128 x 85 on A4 paper).
There's also $DUPLEX to print on both sides for LaserJets that support
this.
There's more (!), but you get the idea.

P.S. Sorry I didn't email you directly. Your address is more than I could
remember at a shot, and )(*@!#$ cc:Mail for Windows does not support
pasting into the address when it has to go through a gateway. (Don't ask.)
