Dear Costas,

I sent your commands to the HP3000-l listserv at
[log in to unmask], and all worked well! Since I copied and
pasted your commands into my e-mail message we can rule out a typo
as being the culprit, and since you received the output stats message, I

believe we can rule out any SMTP gateway problems. However, the one
difference in the stats message and the actual output file is size, so
that may be the problem. The size of the output message for your
commands is 45k, so you may want to see if your system admin has
set some sort of file limitation on incoming mail. I will send you a
copy
of the output directly to you, which will indicate whether that is
indeed
the problem. If by chance there is a limitation on incoming mail, then
you may want to break your query down into several parts (searching
just for 1996 information created a file that was 32k).

One further note, your query took 33.876 seconds. I believe there is a
1
minute limitation on processing time for listserv queries, so that may
come into play on other queries. However, I believe the message the
listserv sends back warns you of this limit.

Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Billy
