Rashid,
I have called DEC about printing from ESPUL to our LPS17, so
I think it is the same problem. The DEC PrintServer group (Don
Blood, et.al.) told me that DEC printservers work on port 170.
I have not had time to verify that this works, but I expect it
will for printing directly from our HP3000.
The other way is to send the print files to the Ultrix or DEC
Unix host which manages the PrintServer. I don't know if that
is an option for you, but in our case it gives the PrintServer
a single place for "queue management."
Hope this helps. I would be interested in your results,
particularly with printing to port 170.
Bruce.
