For some time now I have used SCCS on our Ultrix system, managing
system files and scripts with make and SCCS. It was a bit tough at
first, but the O'Reilly book on make helped.

On our HP3000 I am beginning to use RCS to maintain system jobs. It's
a bit of a struggle, particularly moving files from file format to file
format. It seems workable and, as part of POSIX, the price is right.

Bruce.
