Hi all,

I don't think this is an urban legend. In fact, a few people who
work with me have received this page. In any event, you may file
this where you think most appropriate.

Regards,

A scam is currently being perpetrated on pager users across the country. In
this scam, a pager receives a call from (809) 404-5468. Users who return the
call receive a sales pitch and are later billed for the call at rates ranging
from $3.00 to $25.00.

Pages from the 809 area code come from "information service provider" (900)
numbers in off shore locations beyond the jurisdiction of the Federal
Communications Commission and local Public Utilities Commissions. The
location of an unfamiliar area code can be obtained by calling local
telephone company operators.
