A good friend of mine sent me this (which I have slightly edited to protect
her privacy):

I'd send this to HP3000-L, but my boss reads it and I think she'd get
upset. If you want, you can send it on anonymously.

At our place, the minimal administration and easy-to-understand nature
of the HP3000 led our administrators to assume we could add a
variety of
other information technologies (Unix, Internet access, web server,
remote LAN access servers, Netware servers, high-speed LAN, etc.)
without adding staff - boy were they wrong (they just don't understand
        that yet)!

The pot's boiling now and going to explode soon. I am thinking of
        moving on before it does.

Another element in favor of MPE is really the protection it gives the
user or administrator. In short, its robustness. You can be sure that
destructive commands warn you and mistakes from misunderstanding and
        misconfiguration are often protected against.

So, there you have it!
