Hello Friends:

Several folks have examined at great length the Dick Watts WWW reply about
what he does. Watts said:

"I'm responsible for HP's UNIX workstations and servers, enterprise
middleware, and professional services."

Alfredo Rego set alarm bells off because of the implication that all of
HP's servers were Unix products. Finally, Jerry Fochtman said:

"Something very important seems to be missing" from Watts' reply.

Jerry's almost right. A comma is out of place. See how improved the newest
release of Watts' job description is when a comma is moved:

"I'm responsible for HP's UNIX workstations, and servers, enterprise
middleware and professional services."

See, all of their workstations are UNIX, but not all of the other stuff is...

In the end, what will matter the most to HP is how many customers approach
Watts with a clear expression of their belief in the HP 3000. A comma here
or there is something to footnote, of course. But I'm betting that
customers will have more of an impact than Watts' punctuation.
