I'm trying to include a :HELLO command when initiating a telnet-session.
What I want is to be able to write a logon-udc that not only initiates a
telnet-session to another 3000 but also logs on as SOMEUSER.SOMEACCT.
I've tried some "relevant" MPEX-commands ("RUN telnet
;INPUT=hello-command " and "RUNCREATE ... ;RUNINPUT
'hello-command';RUNACTIVATE" recieving "OPEN OF STDIN FAILED (CERR
14)"-message) and CI-I/O-redirection (telnet "remotehost" <
"file_containing_a_HELLO-string" which only gave me an MPE/iX:-prompt).
(I even tried "telnet < 'file_containing_"open remotehost"'" and that
gave me MPE/iX-prompt, so telnet did read the redirected file.)
Does anyone knows if this is possible to achieve? Any suggestions
appreciated.
BTW what does the "Failed to turn on single echo: 68."-message I get
when I open a connection mean?
