It is really idyllic up here (the Pacific NW), nestled in the woods,
with clear air and less traffic ...
!!! NOT !!! Don't listen to him!
What we really have around here is:
* Air so thick you can't see Mt Rainier today
* More rainy days than one can imagine
* I mowed my lawn this spring DURING the rain - we had so much of it
* I took a walk just last week and didn't know if I was sweating or it
was rain dripping on my face
* The slugs eat all your pretty flowers
* Traffic so heavy the slugs can get there sooner than you can
* So many foggy days in November and December, I don't know if I am awake
or dreaming
* So many recreational regulations, it is a sin
* Too cold in the winter
* Too hot now (it might get to 90 today)
* The humidity is a frightful 30-40% sometimes
* The land prices have soared -- not due to cheap air fares, either
* When we do have summer, it is usually only a few days (1996 is highly
unusual -- to visit now and move because you like todays weather, you
would be highly disappointed.)
DONT COME!
From the land of pits,
Elbert
