I'm not sure of all implications of a command not being programmatically
executable, but it's surely possible to execute a HELLO command from a
command file (I use it all the time when I need another logon, of course
you lose the current one). Besides, what I wanted was to be able to log
on to another machine with Telnet, to make a command/udc to (1)start
telnet, (2)open a connection, and (3)logon to the remote system. I can
do (1) and (2) :-), suggestions on how to achieve (3) greatly
appreciated.
