Hope someone can help...
 
Our 3000 went down last night and after creating a dump tape we
could not eject the DAT tape from the drive(1501A).  Here's what we
tried so far:
   Shutdown the machine power off and back on     and
   Held down the eject button for about 1 minute
 
When the machine is up and we press the eject button we get
   LDEV #7 NOT READY message on the console.
 
Anyone have an idea on how to get the tape ejected or do we have to
call or HP hardware support specialist to do so?
 
BTW: We are on 5.0
