I would add:
 
Don't worry too much about the details right now.  The fact that so much
energy and enthusiasm are being generated by the Java/MPE issue is enough
to make me happy.
 
I'm convinced we will NOT run out of worthy topics.  Mike's, Duane's, and
Mark's ideas are just the tip(s) of the iceberg.

organizing it, Mike.  I'm here to help in any way possible.  I'm sure many
more people feel the same way I do.
