I guess now that the immediate hot tempers have cooled, it's time for me to
qualify my earlier response to Denys.  I was not taking umbrage at his
complaint about the lengthy <PLUG>, rather at the harsh tone he used in
complaining about it.  When I reread my post, I saw that I had not made this
distinction clear, so let me do so now.
 
My point is that just as Denys pointed out the proper way to <PLUG>
something (a few lines or a pointer to a Web page), there is also a better
(at least more effective) way to point out Netiquette transgressions than
raging fire and brimstone, especially to an infrequent poster such as Jim.
 
From an old Bergen-McCarthy show (yes, I go back that far):
   The way to a man's heart may be through his stomach, but jumping down
   his throat is not a short cut.
