Sorry to jump in on a list I don't have the time to read normally, but
the following contribution may be worth the bandwidth.

It's definitely do-able if you're really good at an Xacto knife and a few
other sundry tools.  I do have the schematics for the panel, along with a
couple panels in my basement just waiting for the time...
