I have a "campus-wide" LAN that utilizes UTP (except for small coax segments
around the HP3000 and DTCs). I now have need for a DTC at a remote end of
one of the buildings. There is no coax in the area, but there is a UTP line
from one of the HP advance stack hubs.
Is is possible to connect the DTC to the UTP (with a media converter from
Black Box) ?
The 3k is connected to the PC "LAN" and we use our PCs extensively to access
the 3k. I have never done this sort of a connection before and don't want
to order the converter if it won't work.

TIA
Terry Simpkins
