Greetings!  You asked if you needed to assign a specific IP address to
your HP3000 in order for it to be recognized by your lan to do VT
connections.  The answer is yes and you can do that by using the NS Guided
Setup portion of NMMGR.  You'd do well to pull the Network Planning Guide
and NMMGR Screens Overview Manual from your MPE Manual set and read a
little on this first.  The data you need to setup isn't much, but it does
have to get validated properly or else you'll get nowhere.
