Actually Interex, the name, was adopted later than 1984-1985  I believe =
it
happened after the Detroit 1986 conference, maybe even after the 1987 =
Las
Vegas one  (That was when DEC had it now!, remember?).  I do remember =
the
1988 Orlando conference having a seperate vendor show for HP-UX and =
HP1000
stuff, for the first and last time.  It went over like a lead balloon.   =
In
subsequent years there was only one vendor show.
 
One thing I am sure of however is that we did not "join the 1000 group" =
as
you say.  It was the other way around.
 
I'll second that AND I was on the Interex Board then.   I was also on =
the Board when they changed the name, which was adopted the next year =
(but may not have been implemented until later).
 
If the exact dates are that important, I am sure that I can reconstruct =
them, but I don't think they are.  The point is that until very recently =
Interex was mainly a HP3000 usera' group.
