(a) Bring 2 suitcases. One empty, inside the larger one.
You now have twice as much space on your return trip for goodies.
(b) Plan your meetings you want. At least 2 - maybe even 3 concurrently.
Things get rescheduled/canceled. You don't have to spend a lot
of time figuraing out what to do next if you already have an
alternate.
(c) Be ready to undo your plan. As you meet w/vendors, speakers, etc
you might get MORE interested in something you never heard about.
You may hear via the grapevine that a particular speaker is / is not
good.
(d) It is ideal to stay in a hotel within a block or 2 of the conference.
If not able, then make sure you get a hotel that is on a chartered bus
route!
(e) I find, unless you are staying over the weekend, rentals cars are
a pain -- and usually sit in the hotel parking garage all week.
Based on the hours of this summer's schedule, I suggest you go to bed
by 8:00pm! :-)
