Does anyone have any experience/advice on high speed laser printer
replacements
for the HP2680 now that HP will soon be discontinuing support on them?
 
We had a 2680 for 5 years (1985 - 1990). It worked well, but was
expensive to maintain and comsumables were costly.
We used Formation from Tymlabs to design our forms, so the migration from
2680 to LaserJet III Si's on serial ports (DTC) was pretty painless.
Lately, we have installed a LaserJet 5Si with full house (2000 sheet
input tray, 2000 sheet stacker bin) onto the LAN, and we use NBSPOOL to
move spoolfiles to it. So far, excellent results.
