This thread goes on and on.  IMHO, it boils down to two things:
 
1.  UNIX is yhe "style" now (but maybe not for much longer) and you know =
how HP follows fads.
 
2.  HP will not abandon the 3000 as long as it makes a substantial =
amount of money, which means they have to show their customers a =
migration path to one of their other products or continue with the 3000. =
 It is hard to imagine a migration path.
