Hello,
I'm trying to connect an HP3000 (MPE/iX V5) to a PC Ethernet Network.
I'm not familiar with the HP3000 and used the
'Network Planning and Configuration Guide' to guide me through the
NMMGR screens.
Here's what works:
* We've run NMMGR to setup the network interface. We used the existing DTC
link.
* We've run the Validation steps under NMMGR (no errors).
* We've entered NETCONTROL START;NET=xxxx and no errors were displayed.
* From PC's on the network, we can PING the HP3000 (we know cables, hubs and PC
setup
is correct).
The problems:
* When we try to open a VT-MGR session with Reflections, we are getting the
message
that the 'Host refused the connection'.
* When we enter NSCONTROL START the following error is displayed:
MISSING DADCONF.NET.SYS CONFIGURATION FILE (DSERR 661)
NETCONTROL COMMAND ERROR (CIERR 5400)
We have looked up this error but don't know how to resolve.
Could someone please suggest what I should look at next? Please remember that
I do not
have an HP3000 background. Thanks!!!
