<<I've got a customer who wants to write a bunch of sockets stuff in
COBOL. Since the sockets API is not particularly COBOL friendly (and HP
tells you that only C is supported), I'm wondering what people are using
as an interface between COBOL and the sockets library.

Has anyone written a complete set of wrapper functions that might be
available?>>

Don't forget that "socket" does not mean "bsd socket". As you've found,
bsd sockets are mostly a C/Unix item. Howerver, NetIPC sockets work fine
from any language that can call MPE intrinsics. Indeed, NetIPC sockets
provide greater flexibility and control than bsd sockets in some areas.
