Paul,

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by a very long prompt.
Anyway, and forgive me if this is too basic, the way to change CI prompt is:
:SETVAR HPPROMPT,"someprompt"
for example:
:SETVAR HPPORMPT,"!HPUSER.!HPACCOUNT,!!HPGROUP<!!HPCMDNUM>"

Good Luck,
Danny Yanai

Subject: Changing mpe/ix prompt
Date: Thu, 29 Feb 1996 15:12:12 PST
Message-ID: <[log in to unmask]>

Some months ago there was a thread dealing with this subject. One of the
respondents indicated that he had the means of displaying a very
long/elaborate message as a prompt. I had saved the message but our mail
server went south and lost most of the archived messages.

Does anyone have the info? I'd appreciate it very much if they can re-post
it.

TIA

Paul H. Christidis
