I'm not sure this got posted to the list last night. Here it is again..

I'm travelling this week and don't have access to the information I
need to research this with me, so here goes:

We have a HP3000 (MPE/iX 5.0) that has a 2567C connected via HPIB. We
replaced the HPIB interface with a serial interface, but the system
manager is not happy with the print speed. He wants the HPIB interface
put back in and wants us to find another method for the HPUX box to
get to the printer.

1. Is there some magic DTC tuning for high speed serial printer ports ?

2. What will MPE/iX 5.5 provide for network printing?

3. Aren't there 3rd party products that would allow one machine send to
print jobs to the other's print queue? Of course the system manager
would prefer that the HPUX jobs be sent to his MPE queues that he has
been happily managing for many years.

Thanks in advance
chuckc
