In addition to other tips posted...
 
If you use Reflection the "paste" is a little more well behaved.  Set
typeahead on in Reflection, and do an add,unn in Editor (or equivalent).
If you want plain FTP and/or Reflection transfers, use Notepad (*not*
Write/Word/Wordpad/etc).  Notepad files work great.
 
Nothing seems to help when there is significant "stuff" in between, like
slow network, telnet, etc.  Ever tried pasting stuff to a telnet HPSL
session?  (Please give us an e-mail call submission facility, pleeeease!).
